This 3D Aircraft Cabin Lighting Color Control Demonstrator showcases the color shifts that occur via aging, binning and temperature drifts of LEDs within an aircraft. The solutions shows how True Color sensors from MAZeT are able to compensate these issues via optical feedback and driver control.

Background:
Aside of the benefits of LEDs, the technology also comes with many downsides that can result to serious problem during the development. The most common problems and interference factors are color drifts based on binning, temperature dependencies or aging of LEDs. These effects cause major problems if it is the goal to maintain standardized CCT, color values or color brightness levels.
Simulation options:
• Simulates color drifts caused by aging or temperature shift
• Uses actual measured values and data sheet based brightness values
• Based on color mixing principles
• Allows to show sensor driven benefits as well as uncontrolled drifts
